FVMQ
Fluorosilicone FVMQ contains many of the properties of silicone in addition to resistance to petroleum oils and hydrocarbon fuels.
FVMQ - Fluorosilicone. Fluorosilicone
The condensation reaction of methyltrifluoropropylsiloxane yields a polysiloxane with a fluoropropyl side group attached to the main chain of the polymer that has a silicon-oxygen structure. These rubbers are known as FVMQ fluorosilicone rubbers.
Fluorosilicone has similar mechanical properties to fluoroelastomers, but the fluorine content significantly increases compatibility with animal oils across the operating temperature range, as well as with aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and acids.
